PRODUCT INFORMATION
General Description
Schorl is the most common form of Tourmaline. It may be highly lustrous and form in beautiful crystals, and is one of the most aesthetic black minerals known. This is a Quartz basal matrix which is just full of long Tourmaline Schorl needles. A new material being mined in Madagascar and beautifully polished . This is Tourmaline Quartz for sure! Very nice and well priced for the amount of work which goes into making these items.Hyalite is a form of opal with a glassy and clear appearance which may exhibit an internal play of colours if natural inclusions are present. It is also called Muller's glass, water opal and jalite. The name Müller's glass derived from the name of its discoverer, Franz-Joseph Müller von Reichenstein. We often come across specimens from Namibia - else Hyalite co-occurs as a minor side show in association with Quartz or Tourmaline from Namibia. Its is not very common to find exclusively Hyalite specimens. We do from time to time list a few batches of specimens which are mostly Hyalite, but this is very sporadically.
